These are questions that are commonly asked about programs and services offered at retirement residences. We hope they will offer you some insight as you determine the right choice for you.
What is actually included in the charge?
Along with the spacious apartments that
have a kitchenette, living area, and accessible bathroom, we offer once a
week housekeeping, three meals a day, utilities, laundry rooms, daily
activities, transportation, 24 hour front desk staffing for emergency
assistance, and consulting nurse services once a week.
Is the rent for my apartment on a month to month basis or on a long term lease?
The rent for each apartment is on a month to month rent basis, lease
agreements are not necessary. A simple 30 notice is required if you wish
to discontinue your apartment rent.
Do you charge an admission fee or a refundable deposit prior to moving in?
There is a reservation fee of $200.00, which will get you on the move
in list. At the time of move in there is a refundable damage/security
deposit that is required.
We would like to select an apartment/unit at your Center, however, we cannot move in until next month, can you reserve the apartment we select, and how so?
We have the $200.00 reservation option, that enables you to secure
the apartment of your dreams.
Do you accept pets? What is your policy about animals and are there extra charges?
We do accept small pets on the first floor of the building. There is
a $500.00 per-pet non-refundable deposit required for all pets living at
The Inn.
Are emergency call lights and/or intercoms placed in convenient locations throughout the apartment?
We have emergency lights in all areas of the hallways. There are two
emergency pull cords located in each apartment, as well as an emergency
intercom that calls directly to the front desk.
What are some of the buildings other safety features?
Front desk staff locks the outside doors by 8:30 p.m (winter hours are
at dusk), to ensure a safe and secure evening. We have Night Security
that comes through approximately 4 times a night, and is available to us
24 hours a day.
Is security provided at night and what kind of staff are on duty?

Do you have a sample of your monthly activity calendar and menu plans?
We have a full calendar of events at The Inn, ranging from out of town
trips, to evening card nights. If you would like to receive our monthly
calendar, simply call and get on our mailing list.
Do you offer transportation or a shuttle service and what kind of excursions or outings do you provide?
Transportation is offered several times a week to the Olympia-Lacey
area. There are trips such as Grocery shopping, banking, Doctor
appointments, clothing stores, and many other seasonal options. Remember
the transportation is part of your monthly rent.
What type of meal service is provided and how many meals are offered daily?
Our dining room offers three meals a day, with servers on hand to act
as wait staff for most of the meals. During our afternoon dinner hour we
have a self serve salad bar for your enjoyment.
Can my family and friends visit and do you offer guest accommodations?
Your family and friends are always welcome here at The Inn. We do not
have accomodations for families, but you are welcome to have overnight
guests in your apartment. Outside guests are welcome to join you at your
dining time, we offer meal tickets for a charge of $4.00 to $5.50
depending on the meal.
How far are you from medical services or, in the event 911 must be called - what is the average arrival time for emergency medical personnel?
We are just a few miles from St. Peters Hospital. Our average
emergency response time is 8 minutes.
